Taj Mahal is just one of the many historic architecture and monuments that was constructed under the rule of Shah Jahan with most of them being designed by court architect, Ustad Ahmad Lahauri, The Taj Mahal costructions costed an estimate 1 billion USD, this 17-hectare complex architectural design integrates traditional Persian designs with Mughal architecture and was built with ivory-white marble.

It was originally built to serve as the royal residence for the emperors of Mughal empire and was subsequently occupied by the British Empire. The Agra Fort is a Mughal monument that begun construction in 1565 by Emperor Akbar, with initial structures built by Emperor Akbar the constructions was later taken over by his grandson Shah Jahan. Shah Jahan used red sandstone and white marble which was evidently his signature and favorite materials, he is responsible for most of the marble architecture in the fort for example the Musammam Burj which is a private hall that he built for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. This Red Fort was the main residence for the royal Mughul family till the capitol was moved from Agra to Delhi finished construction of Lal Qal'ah, Red Fort, in Old Delhi.

Amer Fort is a palace that was the residence of the Rajput Maharajas and their families. The construction was initialized by Raja Man Singh the Kachwaha king of Amar, the fort was then fully expanded by his grandson Jai Singh I and later underwent improvements by successive Mughal rulers over the next 150 years. Amar Fort together with Jaipurh Fort are both situated on the same Aravilli range of hills and is roughly 10 kilometers from Rajasthan capital Jaipur.The fort is also one of the many Mughal Empire's creations that was built with red sandstone and white marble incorporating Hindu style architecture.
